Dwayne and Shawna Bullock opened Muffler Man in Grande Prairie in August 2005, focusing on custom exhaust work. In April 2016, they took over the auto repair shop next door, Perfection Automotive, and changed the name to Muffler Man Mechanical in August 2017 to reflect the business’s change of ownership and Muffler Man’s expansion into full-service auto repair. The Bullock's strive to provide honest, quality auto repairs for Grande Prairie and area.
As an auto shop employee, Dwayne was always the guy who solved problems and got things done. Based on his knowledge and authority, Dwayne was often assumed to be the owner. Always wanting to own his own business, an opportunity arose to share a larger building with another automotive garage, Dwayne took it.
Today, Dwayne has 35 years of experience in the automotive industry, with 25 years as a shop manager and high-end exhaust technician. He remains an exhaust system expert, skilled in custom pipe bending. As an auto repair shop owner, Dwayne loves being able to help customers and surprising them with quality and value for the dollar.
Shawna has worked in customer service her entire career. Using her experience and knowledge, it goes without saying her customer service skills are excellent. At the shop, Shawna helps at the front counter, looks after the bookkeeping, and handles the management side of the business. She loves gaining the trust of a new customer, creating loyalty, and generating referrals.
